Every November, the School of Nursing hosts an annual career fair.

The School of Nursing offers our students assistance with career development. Theresa Carroll, Senior Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Services, works closely with undergraduate and graduate students providing them with guidance for summer externships and job placement. Career services include résumé writing, portfolio assistance, interview skills and tips, and job search strategies. Dean Carroll holds weekly career service office hours during the academic year.

Career Fair 2018

The University of Virginia School of Nursing hosts its annual Career Fair on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. This event provides the opportunity for recruiters to meet, interview and interact with many of the best and brightest student nurses in Virginia. UVA has 90 graduating BSNs in May 2019, 90 third-year students looking for summer internships, and 50 master's Entry MSN-Clinical Nurse Leader students graduating in May 2019. Students from other area colleges and universities will also be invited.

We invite nurse recruiters from health care agencies from the region as well as Magnet facilities from across the country. All registrants will be provided with one table and two chairs. Please let us know if electricity is needed. Exhibitor tables will be in McLeod Hall. Parking will be available in the McLeod Hall Garage.
