Compliance Schedule (BSN & CNL)

Prelicensure nursing students must complete a series of compliance requirements for participation in clinicals. These requirements may vary for specific clinical agencies. The program managers communicate and track student compliance.

Technology/UVA Health System
Workday Learning	Online learning management system for completion of mandatory training courses. Courses include those unique to clinical placements at UVA Health facilities, and broader categories required of all nursing students	Annual requirement starting in the 2nd year of the BSN program. Due by the start of the fall semester.	Annual requirement starting in the first year of the program. Due by the start of the summer semester.
EPIC training	Mandatory 5 hour, in-person classroom training for the electronic medical record at UVA Health System	One-time requirement - completed in the 2nd year fall semester.	One-time requirement - completed in the summer or fall of the first year.

Flu vaccination	Annual requirement of up to date flu vaccination. The School of Nursing hosts a flu shot clinic in the fall semester.	Recommended for 1st year students Required for 2nd - 4th year students December 1 deadline	Required for all December 1 deadline
PPD skin test/screening	All new students complete a 2 step PPD screening as part of the new student pre-entrance health record. BLS CPR certification	All students are required to have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
