To assist undergraduate and graduate students as they seek learning opportunities in the United States, with an emphasis on opportunities in rural Virginia, as a complement to and extension of their nursing education

Guidelines & Application

• For UVA School of Nursing undergraduate and graduate nursing student(s); student(s) must have a faculty sponsor for their idea, project, or course
• Deadline: February
• A call for applications is emailed to students in January with instructions for submitting a letter of intent to apply

Selection process: recipient(s) will be selected annually based on the merit and quality of application. Primary consideration will be given to students who aspire beyond the mastery of clinical and intellectual skills taught in the traditional curriculum and seek additional experience outside of the classroom.
